Saudi Arabia’s national carrier Saudia is holding preliminary talks with Boeing and Airbus over an order for at least 150 aircraft, Bloomberg reported, citing sources.
Saudia is looking to purchase both narrow-body and wide-body jets, and is reviewing models from both manufacturers without yet deciding on specific types or quantities, the sources said.
The new aircraft would replace part of the airline’s current fleet of around 200 planes and help expand its size.
The discussions are still at an early stage and may not necessarily lead to a final deal, according to the sources.
