Al Arabia shareholders approve contract with SMC Media

Shareholders of Arabian Contracting Services Co. (Al Arabia) approved, at an ordinary general meeting on Feb. 5, a board decision to enter into a contract with SMC Media Co. for cooperation in marketing advertising billboards and attracting advertisers across various locations in Saudi Arabia.

 

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the transaction involves an indirect interest by two board members: Mohamed Alkhereiji, Chairman of SMC Media, and Mohammed Alghaith, board member of SMC Media.

 

Shareholders also approved authorizing the board to complete the necessary procedures, including signing the agreement with SMC Media, and authorized the CEO to execute the contract in accordance with prevailing commercial terms and without any preferential treatment.

 

In addition, they approved the participation of Chairman Mohamed Alkhereiji, a non-executive director, in a competing business through his indirect ownership in SMC Media.
