King Salman issues Royal Order appointing Fahad Al-Saif as Minister of Investment
King Salman issued today, Feb. 12, a Royal Order relieving the Minister of Investment of his post, to be replaced by Fahad bin Abduljalil Al-Saif.
Meanwhile, Al-Falih was appointed as Minister of State and Cabinet Member.
Al-Saif has led the General Department of Investment Strategy and Economic Studies at the Public Investment Fund (PIF) since 2024. He also serves as Head of Global Capital Finance, a role he has held since joining the fund in 2021.
In addition to his positions at PIF, Al-Saif holds several other roles. He is Chairman of AviLease, the aircraft leasing company; a board member and executive committee member at NEOM; and a board member of ACWA Power.
Beyond the private sector, Al-Saif holds a number of government positions, including Chairman of the Executive Committee and board member of the Insurance Authority, and member of the Financial Sector Development Program.
Before joining PIF, AlSaif was the inaugural Chief Executive of the National Debt Management Center and served as an adviser to Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Finance.
His career also includes several senior leadership roles in the banking sector. Al-Saif holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
