Chemanol said the lawsuit suspension comes due to the existence of another related lawsuit

Methanol Chemicals Co. (Chemanol) said the Dammam Commercial Court has issued a ruling to suspend proceedings in a commercial lawsuit filed by the former shareholders of ADDAR Chemicals Co. against the company over payment of the remaining amount related to the acquisition of ADDAR Chemicals.

The suspension was ordered due to the existence of another related case, pursuant to Article 87 of the Law of Procedure before Sharia Courts, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

Chemanol added that it will disclose any developments regarding the case in due course.

According to Argaam data, Chemanol announced on Dec. 7, 2025, that former shareholders of ADDAR Chemicals had filed commercial lawsuits before the Dammam Commercial Court in connection with the acquisition transaction.

One of the claims seeks payment of SAR 43.89 million, representing the outstanding balance of the agreed purchase price for ADDAR Chemicals under the acquisition contract.
