Saudi Arabia’s Construction Cost Index (CCI) rose by 1.4% year-on-year (YoY) in January 2026, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
The CCI advanced to 102.4 points in January 2026, based on the 2023 base year, compared to 101 points in January 2025.
The index rise was driven by a 1.4% YoY hike in residential construction costs and 1.5% in non-residential construction costs.

In the residential sector, the index went up, supported by a 2.5% jump in labor costs and a 1.9% rise in equipment and machinery rental costs.
In the non-residential sector, the index also inched up amid a 2.6% rise in labor costs and a 2.3% increase in equipment and machinery rental prices.
Energy prices in both the residential and non-residential sectors surged by 3%.
