National Industrialization Co. (Tasnee) announced a delay in the completion of the scheduled turnaround at the plant owned by Saudi Ethylene and Polyethylene Co. (SEPC), a joint venture (JV) in which Tasnee holds a 60% stake.

According to a statement to Tadawul, this delay is due to the integration expansion project of the ethylene cracking unit. The move is primarily related to technical requirements needed to complete the expansion —a common practice in similar projects.

Operations and restart are expected to be completed during the first half of April, Tasnee further noted.

The company also said that the expected financial impact of this scheduled shutdown will be reflected in its financial results for the first and second quarters of 2026.

According to data compiled by Argaam, Tasnee earlier announced that SEPC, a JV between Tasnee and Sahara Olefins Co., will undergo a 66-day periodic maintenance as of Jan. 2.
