Yamama Cement Co. started today, March 12, trial operations for the third production line at its new plant to test performance efficiency and operational stability.

The company expects the three-month trial to show financial impact in the first half of 2026, according to a statement on Tadawul.

The project includes overall line upgrades and boosts clinker capacity from 10,000 to 12,500 tons per day, a 25% increase, at an estimated cost of SAR 1.2 billion.

Yamama Cement signed an SAR 830 million contract in November 2022 with China’s Sinoma Overseas Development Co., Ltd to relocate the seventh line from its old Riyadh plant to the new Al-Halal North site in Al-Kharj, a project financed through company resources and commercial banks, according to Argaam's data.
