Bank loans to the private sector increased by 10% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 3.17 trillion in January 2026.
Loans granted by Saudi banks to non-financial government entities (NFGEs) and the private sector rose 10% to SAR 3.43 trillion by the end of January 2026, compared to roughly SAR 3.11 trillion in the same month a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

Meanwhile, loans granted to NFGEs jumped 19% YoY to about SAR 254.3 billion by the end of January.
