US to end Iran operations soon, targeted strikes possible if necessary: Trump

US President Donald Trump said today, April 1, that Iran will not acquire a nuclear weapon and that its regime has undergone a complete transformation, indicating that US operations against Iran are expected to conclude soon but that targeted strikes could resume if necessary, Reuters reported. 

 

On the timing of the end of the conflict, Trump said the US cannot specify a precise date, noting that some targets remain and additional strikes could be carried out if needed.

 

Ahead of his planned today address to the nation, he emphasized that US measures have prevented Iran from developing a nuclear weapon and that the country is currently incapable of obtaining one.
