TADCO sells 171,000 shares in Horizon Food; incurs SAR 635,780 loss

In a statement on Tadawul, the company said the transaction comes as part of its previously announced plan to divest up to one million shares of its investment in Horizon Food, aimed at enhancing liquidity and supporting its operational and agricultural plans.

The company expects to record a loss of SAR 635,780 from the transaction, representing the difference between the sale price and the investment’s book value, which stood at SAR 38.718 per share according to its latest annual financial statements as of year-end 2025.

TADCO added that the transaction’s financial impact will be shown in its interim financial statements for the period ending June 30, 2026, noting it will announce any further material developments in due course in accordance with relevant regulations.

Last March, TADCO announced the completion of the sale of 314,250 shares from its stake in Horizon Food for about SAR 10.98 million (after deducting administrative expenses), as part of the board’s approval to sell up to one million shares at a price not less than SAR 35 per share.

The company also announced the sale of an additional 228,500 shares for a total value of SAR 8 million (before deducting transaction-related costs).

It added that the sale of part of its stake in Horizon Food, with a total transaction value of SAR 19 million, resulted in recording a loss of SAR 1.63 million.
