Sabic and Lockheed Martin may build a nanotech firm in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) signed a tie-up agreement with Lockheed Martin to possibly build a company to produce carbon-nanotube-based materials in Saudi Arabia, which serve as feedstock for several industries.

SABIC’s Executive Vice-President, Technology and Innovation, Ernesto Occhiello said the initiative aims at exploring new business opportunities based on high technology, and deemed Lockheed Martin as the right partner.
