PETRO RABIGH ANNOUNCES A SAR 180M NEGATIVE FINANCIAL EFFECT OF SHUTTINGDOWN THE ETHANE CRACKER UNIT

With reference to the announcement of Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh) dated 21/04/2013, regarding the maintenance work performed on the Ethane Cracker Unit, the company announces the completion of the maintenance work and conducting all safety procedures per the required safety standards and the gradual startup of the said unit and the units integrated as of Friday May 3, 2013 as mentioned in the previous announcement.

It is expected that this shutdown of the Ethane Cracker Unit will have an estimated financial impact of a decrease by 180 Million Saudi Riyals in the net margin for the second quarter of 2013. It is worthy to mention that this figure are approximate as it is subject to the general economic situation and price fluctuations during the current period.
