The board of directors of Gulf Guard, a subsidiary of the National Company for Glass Industries (Zoujaj), approved yesterday the company’s plan to build a new glass production line.
The project will cost around SAR 220 million and construction works will start in the first quarter of 2015, Zoujaj said in a filing to Tadawul.
The company expected the project to be operational in the first quarter of 2016, test operation in the second quarter, and commercial production in the third quarter of the same year.
When operational, the project will increase Gulf Guard’s sales by 15 percent as of the third quarter of 2016.
The company will finance the project from internal resources and credit facilities from local banks, it said.
