Petro Rabigh plans 50-day overhaul in October

Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company’s (Petro Rabigh) is planning to shut down its complex for 50 days starting Oct. 4 for scheduled maintenance, the board of directors said in its meeting heldon Tuesday.

The closure will bring down third and fourth quarter sales by approximately SAR 880 million, subject to market conditions and global prices.

This is the company's second scheduled maintenance period since 2011.

Every four years, Petro Rabigh and other companies operating in the refining and petrochemical industry in Saudi Arabia schedule maintenance periods to ensure the safety and stability of operations.
