Nama Chemicals CEO resigns; Fatayerji named acting chief at helm

Nama Chemicals approved on Sunday the resignation of chief executive Fahad Rashed Al-Otaibi and appointed Kamal Mohammed Fatayerji as acting chief executive, effective May 1

 

Al-Otaibi's submitted ​his ​resignation for personal reasons and will be effective on April 30.He will​, however,​ remain ​as a board member, the company said in a statement ​to Tadawul. 

 

Fatayerji has over 34 years of experience in the industrial sector, particularly the ​

petrochemicals industry including contracts, project management, marketing and sales for a global engineering firm. He ​previously ​served as Vice President of Petrochemicals of Nama Chemicals. 

 

He  ​received  
​his ​bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Portland Oregon University
​, in the United States​ in 1979 
​; as well as ​
​a ​
Master's Degree in construction engineering and program management from University of California at Berkeley, California​ in​ 1981.
