Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh) has extended unplanned maintenance for its Vacuum Distillation Unit (VDU) by six additional days due to a leakage in the cooling system that occurred while restarting operations on the unit.

The company said in a statement to Tadawul that it expects to restart operations on May 16, adding that it will not be able to assess the financial impact immediately due to the fluctuation of prices and maintenance requirements.

Petro Rabigh announced that it would conduct unscheduled maintenance on April 25 at the VDU unit, and was expected to restart the plant on May 10.
