Petro Rabigh sees SAR 52 mln financial impact from HPU repairs

Rabigh Refining and Petrochemicals Co. (Petro Rabigh) said it expects to see a financial impact of about SAR 52 million reflected in second quarter results due to unscheduled maintenance at its hydrogen production unit (HPU).

Repairs at the unit will take up to 12 days, the company added. The HPU will likely be restarted on June 9.

Petro Rabigh announced earlier this week that it was forced to carry out an emergency shutdown at the HPU due to a leakage at one of the pipeline’s furnaces.
