Saudi Fadhili IPP bid deadline extended to Nov

Saudi Aramco and Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC) have extended the bid submission deadline to Nov. 1 from Sept. 15 for the contract to develop the Fadhili cogeneration independent power project (IPP) in the Eastern Province of the kingdom, MEED reported.

 

The extension will allow the nine pre-qualified groups more time to work on the tender submissions, the report added.

 

The cogeneration plant is a joint venture partnership of state utility Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) and state oil major, Saudi Aramco.

 

The joint venture will select the successful bidder in December with contract signing Jan. 15, 2016 and financial closure of the scheme in March 2016, MEED said.
