Petro Rabigh delays Rabigh II completion date to Q2-2017

Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co.’s (Petro Rabigh) board of directors on Wednesday approved extending the construction deadline for the remaining units at Rabigh Phase II Project till Q2-2017, the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Thursday.

 

The delay was attributed to the challenges facing the local construction market.

 

This delay is expected to result in project costs rising to nearly SAR 34 billion, the company said.
