Saudi Arabia sets salary payment dates for state employees

Public sector employees in Saudi Arabia will be paid on Oct. 27, the Saudi Ministry of Finance said in a statement.

 

Accordingly, salaries for the coming month will be paid on November 26, 2016.

 

Earlier this month, the Saudi government announced workers would be paid according to the Gregorian calendar instead of the Islamic Hijri calendar, making the working month longer as part of cost-cutting measures, according to earlier news reports.
