Al-Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker Co.’s board of directors has appointed Hakam Abou Risha, the country manager, as chief executive officer (CEO) with effect from July 26, 2017.

The decision came after the company’s CEO and managing director, Jamil Al Mulhem, submitted his resignation effective July 25, 2017 for personal reasons. Al Mulhem, however, will continue as a board member.

Abou Risha, who has over 30 years’ experience in top Saudi and Middle Eastern companies, joined Shaker in 2011 and held several leading positions in the company, the company said in a statement on Tadawul.

Meanwhile, the company has appointed Musaab al Muhaidib as vice board chairman for the current term ending on April 23, 2019.
