Saudi Arabia’s finance ministry on Tuesday launched a new service for supplier and contractor financial claims, which will collect and review all claims with the government agencies to facilitate payments.
The ministry will register all claims no later than Nov. 16 through this service and will maintain the current procedures with the government authorities, Hindi Al-Sehemi, deputy minister for technical financial affairs, said in a statement.
This move will help the ministry record all financial claims against the government related to completed projects will facilitate payment of dues.
Al-Sehemi added that failure to register claims by contractors and suppliers through this service within the specified time may affect the speed of disbursement of payments.
