Saudi Arabia owns $136.7 bln of US debt

Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasury bonds declined for the third consecutive month, this time by $1.2 billion month-on-month in September to $136.7 billion.

 

The Kingdom is currently the 12th largest holder of US debt.

 

Elsewhere in the GCC, the United Arab Emirates’ holdings of US debt also declined by around $1.6 billion to $54.3 billion in September, while Kuwait raised its holdings by about $2.4 billion to $38 billion.
