Saudi Aramco on Thursday awarded three contracts to develop sites at Haradh and Hawiyah fields to Mofarreh Alharbi and Partners Company, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The deal, which is part of the company’s Gas Compression Program, includes construction of roads and carrying out earthworks at Haradh and Hawiyah.

“We constantly work toward achieving Saudi Aramco’s goals and objectives in natural gas production to diversify the Kingdom’s energy mix and to make cleaner energy resources available, said Fahad Al-Helal, Saudi Aramco vice president for project management. “Today’s contracts are in line with those goals and objectives, as the sites development project will leverage Haradh Increment Program, will increase the total gas production by more than one billion standard cubic feet per day.”

The state-owned oil giant has recently signed a number of agreements worth $4.5 billion for oil and gas megaprojects designed to enhance the company’s energy sustainability, diversify the economy, expand gas production, and localize domestic content.

The report did not mention the value of the projects.
