Saudi Arabia is not planning to make any changes to the fees imposed on expatriate dependents, Finance Minister, Mohammed Al Jadaan, said in a press conference held after announcing the state budget on Tuesday.

The Kingdom started in July 2017 to impose a monthly fee of SAR 100 per expat dependent. This will increase gradually by SAR 100 every year until 2020, amounting to SAR 400 per dependent per month in 2020, Argaam earlier reported.

Private sector companies will also still need to pay the SAR 200 a month levy for each foreign worker starting 2018.

The expat levy will be also increased to SAR 600 from 2019 and SAR 800 from 2020.
