Saudi Aramco expands into gas as it meets global oil demand: CEO

29/09/2018 Argaam

Saudi Aramco has met global oil market demand and has expanded to include other segments— such as the gas sector— through developing several gas fields, including Al-Fadhili field, President and CEO Amin Nasser told MBC in an interview.

The firm is looking to nationalize 70 percent of its jobs by 2021, Nasser said, pointing out that the current nationalization rate is above 50 percent.

The Saudization program includes nationalizing industries through the In-Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) program, and training national talents in order to occupy oil industry jobs, Nasser said on the Kingdom’s 88th National Day as he presented the oil giant’s key achievements for 2018.
