Saudi Arabia Special Olympics athletes won two silvers and one gold medal on March 15, 2019.
These include gold in roller skating (30m straight line), silver in bocce, and silver in swimming (4x25 freestyle relay).
Saudi Arabian athletes also competed in basketball, bringing the total number of Saudi Arabian athletes competing on Friday up to 23.
“It’s so exciting to represent the Kingdom in bocce at the Special Olympics World Games,” said athlete Sara Felemban. “We’re very happy to win and feel really proud that we have a silver medal in our first competition.”
