Here’s a timeline of IPOs launched on Tadawul since 2010

The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) has witnessed 43 new initial public offerings (IPOs) over the last decade, with the biggest number of share sales in 2010.

 

The total value of these IPOs hit SAR 46.5 billion in the same period. The year 2014 took the lead in terms of IPO size and value with 587.5 million shares at a total value of SAR 25.2 billion.

In 2016, Real Estate Investment Traded Funds (REITs) were launched, with the first REIT fund listed on Tadawul in November.

 

Argaam has compiled a timeline of these IPOs over the last ten years:

 

1) 2010 - Nine IPOs were launched on 245.4 million shares at a total value of SAR 3.8 billion.

 

2) 2011 - Five IPOs were launched on 111.9 million shares at a total value of SAR 1.7 billion.

 

3) 2012 - Seven IPOs were launched on 257.4 million shares at a total value of SAR 5.3 billion.

 

4) 2013 - Five IPOs were launched on 134.3 million shares at a total value of SAR 2 billion.

 

5) 2014 - Six IPOs were launched on 587.5 million shares at a total value of SAR 25.2 billion. National Commercial Bank (NCB) raised SAR 3.10 trillion from its IPO, which was 2,301 percent oversubscribed.

 

6) 2015 - Four IPOs were launched on 99.6 million shares at a total value of SAR 4.2 billion.

 

7) 2016 - Three IPOs were launched on 55.8 million shares at a total value of SAR 2.8 billion. Also, Riyad REIT, Tadawul’s first Real Estate Investment Traded Fund (REIT), was launched in November. The fund’s total size was SAR 500 million.  

 

8) 2017 - One IPO was launched on 4.50 million shares at a total value of SAR 0.2 billion. In addition, eight REITs were offered, topped by Jadwa REIT Al-Haramain Fund (SAR 660 million).  

 

9) 2018 - Two IPOs were launched on 28.72 million shares at a total value of SAR 1.1 billion. Eight REITs were offered, including Al Rajhi REIT Fund, Jadwa REIT Saudi Fund and Derayah REIT Fund.

 

10) 2019 - By the end of Q1 2018, one IPO was launched by Al Moammar Information Systems Co. on 4.8 million shares at a total value of SAR 0.2 billion. The company has not been yet listed.
