Al Gassim Investment Holding Co. (GACO) reported a net loss of SAR 3.3 million in H1 2025, down from SAR 3.6 million a year earlier.

This was attributable to an increase in other income, a decrease in Zakat expense and expected credit loss provisions, as well as an increase in dividend income from financial assets at fair value through profit or loss.

 

However, the recognition losses from the disposal of assets held for sale (which were not present in the corresponding period), a decline in operating income, and an increase in general and administrative expenses offset the semi-annual positive performance.

GACO, however, reported a net profit of SAR 160,000 in Q2 2025, against a net loss of SAR 1.83 million in Q2 2024, driven mainly by higher other income.

 

Sequentially, GACO turned profitable from a loss of SAR 3.49 million in Q1 2025.

 

Shareholders’ equity, no minority interest, stood at SAR 303.33 million as of June 30, 2025, up from SAR 292.77 million a year ago.
