SABIC Agri-Nutrients Co. (SABIC AN) reported a net profit of SAR 985 million in the first quarter of  2025, a rise of 17% from SAR 841 million a year earlier.

The company recorded higher revenues in Q1 2025, driven by an 18% increase in sales volume, which was supported by the completion of scheduled maintenance at its third urea and ammonia production plant during the same quarter last year.

 

Additionally, the company achieved a 3% rise in average selling prices, alongside higher contributions from an associate company and a joint venture.

 

This performance came despite an increase in the cost of sales, mainly due to higher production input costs.

 

Quarter-on-quarter, the three-month net earnings edged up 3.2% from SAR 954.44 million in Q1 2024, as sales grew 2%.

 

Shareholders’ equity, after excluding minority interest, reached SAR 19.28 billion as of March 31, 2025, up from SAR 18.52 billion a year earlier.
