The profit decline was attributed to the absence of the group's share of profits from its previous investment in Almarai Co., SAR 447.4 million distributed to eligible shareholders, and the lack of net profit from discontinued operations, totaling SAR 54.3 million.
This was partially offset by a SAR 181.7 million year-on-year (YoY) drop in financing costs due to debt repayments made in 2024.
Additionally, revenue from the food services segment declined during the period despite a 6% annual increase in retail segment revenue, supported by geographic expansion and the positive impact of the customer experience reinvention (CXR) program implemented by Panda Retail Co.
