Knowledge Economic City’s (KEC) net losses widened to SAR 54.9 million in H1 2025, from SAR 38.7 million in the year-earlier period.

This was attributed to higher operating expenses (OPEX), despite the increase in sales for the six-month period.

 

Net losses also deepened by 50.1% in Q2 2025, reaching SAR 37.7 million, from SAR 25.11 million a year ago, mainly due to elevated OPEX.

On a sequential basis, the three-month net loss also soared from SAR 17.26 million in Q1 2025.

 

Total shareholders’ equity, excluding minority interest, stood at SAR 2.92 billion by the end of H1 2025, compared to SAR 2.97 billion in the year-earlier period.

 

Accumulated losses at the end of H1 2025 amounted to SAR 461.2 million, representing 14% of the company’s capital.
