The increase in losses was mainly due to annual lower sales during 2025.

This decline was driven by the impact of the depreciation of the Egyptian pound on the company’s sales in Egypt, in addition to a decrease in the company’s export sales.

Operating profits also decreased in 2025, primarily as a result of lower gross profit from sales and the recognition of a total loss from investments.

This loss resulted from unrealized losses related to the valuation of financial investments and equity instruments due to a decline in their fair value, compared to a total gain from investments recorded in 2024.

Furthermore, selling and distribution expenses increased during the year, while the reversal of credit loss provisions declined.
