Al Rajhi Bank to vote on SAR 1.75/shr dividend for H2 2025, 1:2 bonus shares on April 20

Al Rajhi Bank scheduled an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on April 20 for shareholders to vote on a dividend proposal for H2 2025.

 

The board earlier recommended cash dividends at 17.5% of capital, or SAR 1.75 per share, for the period, the cement producer said in a statement to Tadawul.

Shareholders will also vote on the board’s recommendation to increase the bank’s capital by issuing 50% bonus shares, granting one share for every two shares owned, by capitalizing SAR 20 billion of retained earnings, raising the capital to SAR 60 billion.

Reason

Enhancing the bank’s financial position to support the achievement of its strategic objectives.

 

Fractional shares, if any, will be compiled into one portfolio for shareholders and will be sold at market price. The proceeds will then be distributed to eligible shareholders pro rata, within a period not exceeding 30 days from the date of determining the new shares eligible for each shareholder.

 

Shareholders will also vote on Article 6 of the bank’s bylaws, related to the company’s objectives, as well as on amending Article 7 concerning share subscriptions.

 

They will further vote on authorizing the board of directors to distribute interim dividends to shareholders on a semi-annual or quarterly basis for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2026.
