Zain Saudi announces the resignation and appointment of a board member

Mobile Telecommunication Company Saudi Arabia (Zain) announces that the board member, Thamer Ahmad Obeidat, a non-executive, has resigned due to personal reasons from the board of directors and the Audit Committee on 10/12/2018, the company said in a bourse statement.

The board of directors of Zain Saudi extended its sincere thanks to Obeidat for all his valuable contributions and effective participations during his tenure, the statement said.

Based on the nomination and Remuneration Committee’s recommendation, the board of directors approved the appointment of Martial Caratti as a non-executive member of the board of directors and the Audit Committee with effect on 09/12/2018.

This appointment is not final and will be presented to the next General Assembly meeting for approval, the company further added.

Caratti has been a member of the board of directors of Zain Group and chief financial officer Omantel, with over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry in the Middle East and Europe.
