The Red Sea Development Co. (TRSDC) has signed a contract with Archirodon Group to build marine infrastructure for the 28,000 kilometer (km) Red Sea Project, the company said in a statement.

No further details were provided about the contract value.

Under the contract, the Greek firm will build a 3.3 km crossing to the main hub island for the project's first phase, two coastal jetties, and four island jetties.

“All construction works are scheduled for completion by November 2019,” TRSDC added.

TRDSC, which is owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), in February 2019, started the preconstruction of the Red Sea project’s first phase.
