Saudi Arabia seeks national solutions to develop AI, says education minister

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Education Hamad bin Mohammed Al Shaikh said the ministry seeks to offer national solutions for the development and investment of the artificial intelligence (AI) techniques.

 

During his speech at the Global Artificial Intelligence Summit, Al Shaikh said the Kingdom is keen on supporting its nationals to establish projects based on the AI techniques through offering them an incubator environment, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

The Kingdom seeks to rank among the leading countries in the AI techniques through developing its universities and encouraging them to offer integrated scientific research, Al Shaikh said.

 

He added that the ministry is supporting research initiatives as regards the use of data and AI, to reduce the risks and challenges involved in this field.
