Outstanding loans of Saudi specialized credit institutions rise 3% to SAR 235 bln in Q3 2020

The outstanding loans of Saudi Arabia's specialized credit institutions reached SAR 234.99 billion in Q3 2020, a rise of 3% year-on-year (YoY), according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

The specialized credit institutions include Real Estate Development Fund (REDF), Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), Social Development Bank (SDB) and Agricultural Development Fund (ADF).

 

On a quarterly basis, the outstanding loans declined slightly, by SAR 109 million, in Q3 2020.

REDF dominated 66% (SAR 155.96 billion) of the total specialized credit institutions' outstanding loans during the period, followed by SIDF with 20% (SAR 47.7 billion).

 

On a quarterly basis, REDF loans decreased by SAR 2.5 billion, while SIDF increased by SAR 971 million.
