The announcement by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman about reforms to improve the Kingdom’s legislative system will ensure justice and maintain rights, according to Minister of Justice Walid Al-Samaani.

These legislations will represent a highly significant transition that will reflect positively on the Kingdom’s judicial institutions, the minister indicated, adding that the personal status law addresses in detail all the family-related provisions, including engagement, marriage, child custody, spouse maintenance and others.

Additionally, the civil transactions law will stand as a reference for dealing with relationships and eliminating disputes. The law has been prepared with the latest contemporary applications to ensure rights, as the existence of this systemic reference will reduce cases of disputes between individuals and the duration of adjudication.

Moreover, the evidence law is an outstanding development in the field of civil and commercial transactions, which will boost the business climate in the Kingdom, while the penal code will also help fulfill the criminal justice.
