The National Commercial Bank (NCB) will soon launch “Soft POS” application on mobile devices for the first time in the Kingdom.

The move is as part of the bank’s effort to advance innovation in the field of payments in the Saudi market.

The innovative service is the latest payment technology solutions that allow an advanced electronic payment mechanism by converting the merchant's mobile into a means of accepting payments as points of sale (POS).

Saudi Payments in cooperation with Momkn Payments Co. have technically approved this service within the framework of the bank’s strategy for digital transformation and the use of innovative technologies to create new payment solutions.

Among the most prominent advantages of the service are converting a mobile device-based on the Android operating system into a POS device, providing a faster service, supporting all Mada cards that support the local and international Mada Atheer service, providing reports for operations, and supporting the refund service.

The new service is in line with the Saudi Central Bank’s (SAMA) strategy aimed at enhancing innovation in the financial services, achieving the objectives of the financial sector development program, and moving towards a cashless society.

NCB’s POS provides multiple opportunities for corporate and retail customers to collect the value of sales automatically and accept multiple cards easily and safely.
