Saudi Arabia records 1,157 COVID-19 cases on Monday

Saudi Arabia recorded 1,157 COVID-19 cases today, May 24, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 442,071, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 987, raising the total number of recovered cases to 425,677 (96% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 9,130, of which 1,334 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported 15 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 7,264.

 

Makkah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 357, followed by Riyadh (320), Eastern Province (137), Madinah (100), Jazan (60), and Asir (54).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 81,090 new tests, bringing the total number of laboratory tests to 18.61 million.

 

Almost 13 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the Kingdom to date.
