Saudi Arabia records 234 COVID-19 cases on Saturday

Saudi Arabia recorded 234 COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 28, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 543,796, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 409, raising the total number of recovered cases to 531,733 (98% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 3,537, of which 978 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported six new deaths, with the death toll standing at 8,526.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 67, followed by Makkah (36), then Jazan and Al Qassim (22 each), Eastern Province (21), and Madinah (14).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 53,000 new tests over the last 24 hours, and the total number of administered doses increased to 35.87 million.
