Khalid Al-Mudaifer, Vice Minister for Mining Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources

Saudi Arabia has a fast-growing, active investment environment, said Khalid Al-Mudaifer, Vice Minister for Mining Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.

Al-Mudaifer called on those interested companies and investors to participate in developing the Kingdom’s mining sector, which is now more open to the business community.

Saudi Arabia has a track record of success with the international partners, thanks to offering the optimum business model, in addition to developed infrastructure, including roads, railways networks, ports and power grid, the vice minister added on the sidelines of the MinExpo International 2021 in the US.

Sustainability is one of the key pillars of the Kingdom’s mining strategy, as it aims to protect the environment and maintain the safety of those working in the sector.

Further, the Future Minerals Summit, which will held in January 2022 in Riyadh, will provide a platform for governments from across the Middle East, Central Asia, and North and East Africa to come together to discuss investment opportunities and strategic partnerships with global investors with an interest in mining, he noted.
