Jonathan Timms, President of Diriyah Development Co. (DevCo), said a plant was established in the north of Riyadh, to produce 180 million mudbricks to build the world's largest mud city in Diriyah, Al Arabiya TV channel reported.

He added that the Diriyah Gate is built from handmade mudbricks, as it was being made in the Kingdom more than 300 years ago.

Diriyah will include 38 hotels, including 15 hotels in the gate project, which will be completed by 2024, in addition to 26 built assets, including six major museums, Timms said.

He added that the gate will include a major retail project in Diriyah Square, an academy, and King Salman University, in addition to other projects and facilities.
