Saudi Arabia’s King Salman issued a royal decree under which the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) and the General Court of Audit (GCA) will oversee the execution of the privatization projects.

The decree stipulated that both entities will undertake the supervision as well as the direct follow-up of these projects, in addition to contacting the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP) if necessary.

In June, Hani Alsayegh, Vice President of Strategic Marketing & Knowledge Management, NCP, said the centre targets the privatization of 17 sectors.

The privatization drive targets the sectors of health, environment, water and agriculture, municipalities, housing, energy, industry and mineral resources, public transportation, interior, communications, education, Hajj and Umrah, human resources, transport, sports, communication and information, media, finance and the State Properties General Authority (SPGA).
