King Salman delivers speech at G20 Summit

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz gave today, Oct. 30, a virtual speech during an opening session of the G20 Leaders' Summit held in Rome.

 

The King said Saudi Arabia led the international efforts to overcome COVID-19 as well as its health, economic and social impacts last year.

 

"Over 20 months since the outbreak of COVID-19, the pandemic still casts its shadow on the global economy", he added. "Despite the recovery journey that started in some economies, low-income countries still face challenges in accessing and distributing vaccines."

 

The Kingdom will continue its pioneering role in providing the world with renewable energy resources through supporting innovation and development.

 

King Salman called for implementing more sustainable and comprehensive solutions, taking into account the different circumstance of countries.
