Commerce ministry issues 35 licenses YTD for exporting steel, cement

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Commerce issued 35 licenses for exporting steel and cement since the beginning of 2021, compared to 21 licenses last year, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.

 

The ministry issued 12 licenses for exporting cement and another 23 licenses for exporting steel year-to-date (YTD), while three other licensing requests are still under review.

 

The licensing takes place after fulfilling specific conditions and requirements, as per some regulations of the ministerial committee that is formed from the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Investment, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources as well as Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture of Saudi Arabia, according to data compiled by Argaam.
