Alkhorayef Water bags SAR 195.9 mln contract to operate, maintain King Abdullah Project for Zamzam

Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Co. (AWPT) announced that it won a contract worth SAR 195.85 million to operate and maintain King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Project for Zamzam Water in Makkah, according to a bourse statement.

 

The company will manage, operate, and maintain the project’s facilities, which include all components of Zamzam water well, as well as the preform and bottling plants and distribution center for 60 months.

 

The contract does not have any related parties, the statement added.

 

The move comes in line with AWPT’s strategic plan and objectives as well as Vision 2030 to develop all aspects of water sector.

 

The company won the deal after submitting the best financial and technical offer.

 

The relevant financial impact is expected to appear in the first quarter of 2022.

 

AWPT will announce any further developments in this regard in due course, especially after receiving the final version of the contract signed by all concerned parties.
