Saudi bank loans to public, private sectors grow 15% to SAR 2.230 trln in March

Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sectors rose 15% by the end of March to SAR 2.230 trillion, compared to SAR 1.943 trillion a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

Private sector lending also grew by 14% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.134 trillion for the same month.

 

Meanwhile, loans granted to public non-financial institutions amounted to about SAR 96.2 billion in March, up 34% from March 2021.
