Alinma Bank receives SAMA nod on 2 audit committee appointments

Alinma Bank obtained on June 7 the no-objection from Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) on the appointment of two new members for the vacant seats in the audit committee.

In May, the board of directors had recommended appointing Haitham Alshaikhmubarak and Othman Altwaijri to the audit committee, starting May 21, the bank said in a statement to Tadawul.

Alshaikhmubarak holds a master's degree in business administration and a bachelor's degree in accounting. He has extensive experience in managing wealth, assets and investment portfolios.

Altwaijri holds a bachelor's degree in accounting, and a CPA from the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA). He has a long experience in finance and auditing.

The board’s approval is not final and the appointments will be discussed at the next general assembly meeting for ratification, in accordance with related rules and regulations, the statement said.
